TIFF 50 (2025)

As an official photographer for the landmark TIFF 50 in 2025, I worked closely with the Toronto International Film Festival communications team to document a historic milestone for the city. My intensive assignment spanned red carpet premieres, high-profile Q&As, behind-the-scenes moments, brand activations, and major festival galas during this golden anniversary edition.

The core objective was creating a consistent, high-impact body of imagery capturing the global prestige of the festival. This year included shooting exclusive Q&As and red carpets for major features, such as Benny Safdie’s biographical drama The Smashing Machine starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt (featuring appearances by world heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk), David Michôd’s Christy starring Sydney Sweeney, Matt Johnson’s cult-favorite Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie, and high-profile screenings featuring Matthew McConaughey alongside his film’s cast. Beyond immediate press coverage, these visual assets were deployed directly by the festival’s marketing department to create official festival posters, marketing campaigns, and extensive social media content.
