The Miller Group: Ahead Of The Curve
Miller Group Industrial Photography production “Ahead of the Curve” was a landmark 40-day campaign for The Miller Group Canada. Specifically, this landmark project marked their first major investment in high-fidelity visual assets across their entire heavy infrastructure ecosystem. Working alongside filmmaker Matthew Hamilton, I executed all aerial drone cinematography. Furthermore, I captured a comprehensive library of ground-based stills spanning thousands of kilometers of Canadian operations, documenting everything from aggregate gravel pits and asphalt paving to heavy cement work, winter snow removal, and active highway maintenance fleets.
This project was a masterclass in industrial logistics. Specifically, I strategically timed site visits to capture pristine “first light” across virtually every arm of the Miller brand while coordinating around complex, heavy-machinery operations. Beyond digital web and social campaigns exceeding 25,000 views, this massive collection of hundreds of visual assets was engineered for multi-channel utility. Consequently, these images found a permanent home as large-format office wall art, corporate recruitment materials, and tangible company swag including calendars, branded books, and corporate cups. You can view more examples in my industrial photography portfolio.
Executing top-tier industrial photography required balancing active heavy-machinery sites with strict safety protocols to ensure zero disruption to operations. Ultimately, the resulting library established a definitive visual standard for the brand, cementing a long-term production partnership.
My production scope for this landmark campaign included:
- Aerial Drone Cinematography: Full coverage of remote and active industrial sites, capturing expansive overhead perspectives.
- Heavy Infrastructure Sectors: Documenting aggregate pits, asphalt plants, cement operations, and winter snow-removal fleets.
- Multi-Channel Asset Delivery: Hundreds of high-resolution commercial photos deployed across digital marketing, office wall art, recruitment brochures, and corporate calendars.
