15 Black and White Downtown Toronto Street Photography Photos
Another day, and another downtown Toronto street photography adventure with my Nikon Z9 loaded with a custom Nikon Picture Control preset, and my new Nikon 50mm 1.8S. Here’s a few of the shots I snapped on one of my walks through the Toronto Financial District in the beginning of December 2025.

Although I’m mainly known for my highly saturated, punchy coloured night street photography, I’ve lately been getting into more black and white street photography just to mix it up a little, and I’ve enjoyed the experimentation, it reminds be of being in high school photography class and shooting with some Ilford film, although we skip the whole darkroom process (which, truth be told, I kind of miss).
If you’d like my black and white recipe I used here, and you have a compatible Nikon camera, you can contact me and I’ll be happy to share the file, otherwise you can explore and cook up your own custom Nikon Picture Control profiles here for free.
Feel free to check out my Instagram and my Facebook pages for more of my street photography and Toronto cityscapes that doesn’t get published to my blog.
